A blast from the musical past, this old school analog transistor radio with the tape deck. This one is in my office at work, old and outdated, but it still works!

My father still has his from when he was in college. It seems to work better than any other radio in our house.

Lol. All things old are not broken. Just older. Sometimes that is a good thing.

Ha, ha... yeah, I finally trashed my 8-track player just a few years ago... The tapes just wouldn't stay together at the splice anymore... Now that's REALLY OLD school.

Ah yes, Stunner you have brought back many memories with this shot!!! Great angle, love it!!

Interesting detail. And the story is so true with many things today, if there was no "planned obsolecence" we could just keep our old equipment and really use it up...

Very nice capture. We used to call it K7 in french countries!
26 Feb 2008 4:03pm
They also could make powerful designs in those days! Wonderfully captured!

Wonderful and unique shot! I love it!

A proper cassette player, we used to call them ghetto blasters in the 70's, and everyone played them with the volume right up and totally distorted. This shot reminds me of being a teenager.

Great perspective. I love the old stuff. Half the things in our kitchen are from the 50's.
26 Feb 2008 8:13pm
They don't make them like they used to...great angle and shot

As time goes by, new things are replaced by newer and maybe sometimes in the future we would be missed the old ones..
Btw, It's a nice close up shot!
