God Reigns

God Reigns M101 is the name of this canoe that I spotted on the beach at Boston Bay. I tried my hand once again at using PS to do partial colourizing. I had originally planned to do this photo in B&W, but my special someone wanted the beautiful bright colours of the boat in the photo. So I decided to make a compromise and hence we both got what we wanted.

I think this shot is all about the color. Beautiful.

I think I might have just slightly desaturated the background in this though. I'm not really big on selective coloring where all the color is removed. It's not bad here because the colors in the boats are fantastic and really catch the attention.

I was browsing your archives when this one came up. Just superb. I love the splash of color on the greyscale background. I've done it myself in the past and find it captivating, just like your image of these boats. Exceptional shot in every way.
