e. from Washington DC, United StatesOoooooooh that's one of very very few statues in the States. What a treasure you found it! I can't actually remember how many there are, but there's one in St. Louis, Missouri on the campus of Washington University at St. Louis. Just a little factoid for you. :) 10 Oct 2007 6:43am tyan from Singapore, Singaporehi what's-that-animal! yeah he looks like some kind of fusion of man and deer?Your framing is nice:) 10 Oct 2007 8:04am @tyan: It looks like a rabbit and human fusion to me. Hmm maybe we can call it a Manbitt! lol! Mandy from Johannesburg, South AfricaWhat an interesting shot Stunner!!! Very funny! 10 Oct 2007 9:54am Richard_Irwin from Belper, United KingdomThats a really fascinating statue and an interesting animal-human hybrid. Do you know anything about its history? 10 Oct 2007 10:10am @Richard_Irwin: I have no clue. My friend was the one giving me the tour and she didn't know anything about it either as she recently moved to Baltimore. Ken McCoy from Orlando-Daytona Beach, FL, United StatesNice composition and framing - it lends a sense of movement, of thought if not body. And it looks more like a rabbit than a deer to me. 10 Oct 2007 10:33am Illuci from Hurdegaryp, NetherlandsLooks like a parody on "The Thinker" by Rodin. Great, because why thinking when doing will do more? Without doing every thinking is useless and there are so many professors with these ears walking around! (but: doing without thinking is in many cases not only useless but also dangerous, the other side of the coin). These are some thoughts, now the action! 10 Oct 2007 11:18am rainsocks from Singaporehaha so interesting he really is deep in thoughts.. a rabbit man? 10 Oct 2007 11:38am @rainsocks: Yeah, a Manbbit! lol! Viewfinder from Bradenton, United StatesWhimsical, fun sculpture -- nicely photographed here. 10 Oct 2007 1:23pm Manuela Photography from Hainburg, GermanyIs this a rabbit with enormous ears? 10 Oct 2007 3:39pm Lorraine from Gatineau, CanadaHey Stunner, WOW now I call that a sculpture! Good capture...I missed you guys, so I came back ;) 10 Oct 2007 5:21pm Mingo from Sant Boi de Llobregat, SpainImpresionante fotografia de esta estatua.Excelente captura. Magnifico colorido y nitidez. Saludos! 10 Oct 2007 6:31pm Rabbit from Richmond, United Stateshummm so if this is a rabbit is this an interpretation of me deep in thought?... haha 10 Oct 2007 7:24pm @Rabbit: LOL! Melody from United StatesIt really is reminiscent of The Thinker, but eerie. (Cue eerie organ-music here.) But the bright-green outdoors is just too pretty for the 'eerie' :) 10 Oct 2007 8:35pm Rags from Plano, United StatesThis is a creepy anorexic looking animal. It is definitely worth taking a picture because it is strangely alien, but also familiar. Hope you had fun in DC. 11 Oct 2007 4:08am Stunner from Kingston, JamaicaThank you all for your comments, I'm glad you all liked it! 11 Oct 2007 5:02am ciprian from Seattle, United StatesI've seen rabbits before, but this one is pretty skinny, nice shot 3 Dec 2007 9:37am |
