Standing Tall

Posted by Stunner (Kingston, Jamaica) on 20 May 2007 in Animal & Insect.

I was just about to hang out some clothes to dry when I spotted this Gaulin perched on a wall, so I dashed back inside and grabbed my camera. I had to zoom in to get this shot as i didn't want him to fly away. The Gaulin is seen all over Jamaica and feeds on small insects and they can be found in large numbers in the rural areas in cow pastures due the abundance of ticks.

Thanks for all the visits and comments on my previous photos. I may not respond to all the comments due to time constraints but I do read every single one.
