June PlumsPosted by Stunner (Kingston, Jamaica) on 17 March 2007 in Plant & Nature. The June Plum is one of the many seasonal fruits in Jamaica, which bears at about this time of the year. It is often eaten raw when ripe as well as when unripe with salt. However, it is also stewed down with sugar and spices to make Stew Plum, which is quite tasty. I also took this picture of this bunch of unriped ones in my yard on an extraordinary tree which is loaded with plums but only about three feet tall.
